A More Inclusive Workplace: Eurofork’s New Initiative Dedicated to Women’s Health

Taking care of people also means addressing the practical needs they face in everyday life. With this in mind, Eurofork has introduced a new welfare initiative dedicated to women’s health: the availability of free sanitary pads in all restrooms at the company headquarters, through specially installed dispensers designed to provide immediate and discreet support to employees.

This decision is based on a significant fact: 9 out of 10 women in Italy have experienced at least one unexpected menstrual-related situation while away from home, and in more than half of these cases, the incident occurred in the workplace. Despite this, essential menstrual products are often unavailable in office environments, and menstruation is still too frequently treated as a topic that is discussed quietly or avoided altogether.

At Eurofork, we believe that corporate welfare should begin with listening to people’s real needs. For this reason, the availability of free sanitary pads is not considered an additional benefit, but rather a practical necessity that a modern, attentive, and inclusive workplace should be able to provide.

It is a simple initiative, yet one with significant practical and cultural value. Providing access to essential products helps reduce situations of discomfort, stress, or embarrassment, improving everyday wellbeing and contributing to a more positive and welcoming work experience.

The initiative also represents a step toward normalizing a topic that affects millions of women and too often remains invisible in professional settings.
